15 Day Small Group Tour
As it’s just not possible to ‘do Ireland’ in less then 2 weeks, they will all last 15 days with 2 free days in Dublin at the beginning of your visit and 1 free day mid tour to absorb the sights and sounds of the first leg. You’ll be privately chauffeured from Dublin airport to your hotel upon arrival and given a 2 day Dublin City Bus Pass for independent sightseeing at your leisure. Accommodations, airport transfer and bus passes will be included in your tour package. You’ll be well looked after! :) We’ll meet you in the lobby of your 4* hotel at 9:30am on the 3rd day and begin our journey through our small but mighty island. We’ll include most of the major attractions with loads of hidden gems that you’d never see on a standard tour as well as some of Ireland’s magical landscape and.. we’ll do this in a nice, relaxed pace!
Itinerary …
After you’ve spent 2 days independently exploring Dublin, we’ll begin our journey through Ireland the morning of the 3rd day. We’ll meet you in the lobby of your hotel and make our first stop in the Royal county of Meath where we’ll see it’s namesake, the Hill of Tara followed by Trim Castle and New Grange (Bru na Boine) before crossing the border and stopping in Belfast, Northern Ireland’s capitol city. Here we’ll visit the Titanic Museum and Belfast Castle before traveling along the Antrim coast to Giant’s Causeway and down to Derry (Londonderry), the walled city. From here we’ll cross the border into the often bypassed county, Donegal, named the ‘forgotten county’ however, once you’ve been there, you’ll never forget it! Here, we’ll see Grianan of Aileach, Glenveagh Castle, Slieve League, the highest accessible sea cliff in Europe. We’ll take you back in time at Glen Folk Village in Glencolmcille and ..loads of hidden gems! I must warn you tho.. Donegal has a reputation of putting a spell on most who visit! :). Next, we’ll make our way down the Wild Atlantic Way to Westport before we see the stunning Kylemore Abbey and into Connemara where we’ll see sheep dogs in action, try our hand at spinning wool! From here, we’ll carry on into Galway, the city of tribes for 2 nights. Here you’ll have another day to independently explore the 3rd largest city in Ireland, shop, listen (and toe tap) to street musicians and enjoy Trad on the Prom in the evening, only the best Irish music and dance show in Ireland (tickets included). You could even take a private day tour of your own! Once we’ve caught our breath and processed what we’ve seen, we’ll continue south along the Wild Atlantic Way into the karst limestone region of the Burren to Doolin and the majestic Cliffs of Moher. Next, we’ll carry on further South to Killarney for another 2 nights by way of Dingle where there’s more shops, Dingle Crystal and the breathtaking Slea Head Drive. While in Killarney, you’ll have the option of doing the Ring of Kerry (with EIT’s special touch) or touring Ross Castle followed by a boat trip on the Lakes of Killarney and jaunting car through the Gap of Dunloe to Kate Kearney’s where we’ll meet you with a pint of the black stuff (or beverage of your choice). This is a day that we could also organize a special excursion for the angler or golfer in the group or .. any other special interest available in the area :). From here, we’ll make our way down to the charming (and colorful) seaside village of Kinsale via the Beara Peninsula in West Cork and Drombeg stone circle. Kinsale is full of quaint craft shops, galleries, bookshops and… as Kinsale is known for it’s cuisine, it’s also full of cafes and restaurants! Next, we’ll sample a drop during an Irish Whiskey Tasting directly after a private tour of the Jameson Distillery in Middleton followed by a drive through the ever spell bounding landscape to the iconic (and imposing) Rock of Cashel before settling in to relax at the Mount Juliet Estate. In route back to Dublin for our final evening, we’ll take a tour of Kilkenny Castle and Craft Centre with a final stop at Glendalough before bidding you a safe journey back home with a parting gift at one of Dublin’s finest airport hotels. You’ll be well rested for your departing flight the following day. Now that you know some of the highlights of our Guided Group Tour of Ireland…imagine all the many hidden gems we’ll delight you with! :)
